The Mail on Sunday's promotions team, who organise regular YOU-branded events, was informed at short notice that the call centre which usually looked after the reservations was unable to handle the traffic.
An enquiry was made to A&N Mobile & TV, which offers advice, guidance, development and implementation of mobile apps, premium rate telephony and mobile CRM. With strong relationships across A&N Media and DMGT as a whole, a solution sprung to mind immediately.
Having worked previously with Northcliffe Media and knowing that it operates a live call centre based in the Mail News & Media offices, A&N Mobile & TV helped brief the team in Hull with the technical requirements of The Mail on Sunday and also set up a dedicated number through which to route the call. The new service ran for the first time last week and the Northcliffe call centre handled the service so well that The Mail on Sunday has decided to continue working with them on an ongoing basis.
"It was a fantastic opportunity for our call centre in Hull to support The Mail on Sunday," said Northcliffe development director Darren Minn. "We had recently become the Northcliffe Private Advertising Contact Centre, but always had the ambition of extending our services out to take on more call centre opportunities. With the technical support of A&N Mobile we easily transferred the calls to our contact centre on the Sunday and answered every call within the first ring, and answered 100% of calls".
